Easter is once again putting on a very strong performance. Pastels, chocolate, a fully coordinated brunch situation—it’s polished, it’s photogenic, it’s frankly a little intimidating. And if we’re being honest (and borrowing from the faith-off logic), some holidays just have better PR teams.
Meanwhile, Passover is over here doing something very different. Less spectacle, more substance. Fewer marshmallow chicks, more “sit down, we’re going to talk about this.” It’s not trying to win you over with aesthetics… it’s making a point. And whether you’re Team Easter, Team Passover, or just Team “I’m here for the food,” both holidays end up in the same place: a table where what you bring actually matters.
Which brings us to the wine. Because no matter how strong your holiday allegiance is, showing up with a random bottle is a bad look across all belief systems. Easter? Keep it bright, fresh, easy—something that works with everything and doesn’t slow anyone down. Passover? Go a little deeper, a little more intentional—wines that feel like they belong there. Either way, the real winner of this “faith-off” is the person who didn’t overthink it, but also didn’t phone it in.
